The basic function of a Product Validation Engineer is to plan, conduct and document functional, performance, durability and reliability evaluations related to systems, subsystems and full vehicle analysis of seeding equipment integrated with the Product Development process. The position will focus on the validation of the electrica l control systems of the seeding equipment, including both hardware and software validation. The position will provide the opportunity to contribute to the design of the electronic systems for seeding equipment.

As part of an agile product development team this position will be focused on product validation, but responsibilities may include product design as required within a given project.

Responsibilities

Plan, set-up, operate, troubleshoot and report on vehicle systems while testing in both lab and field environments.

Conducts root cause analyses of in-service problems, provides test reports and other technical documentation of issues and observations.

Debugs and troubleshoots failed electronic, mechanical and software components.

Compiles and maintains test-related documentation including test plans, procedures, results, reports, timelines, etc.

Analyzes and evaluates how to improve system and/or equipment’s functionality/durability under continued operation, maintenance and unexpected change.

Collaborates closely with design engineers on development of test requirements and plans. Contribute to design work in conjunction with the Product Engineering Teams

Creates product designs including drawings and schematics for electrical and/or mechanical systems depending on experience and background.

Audit machines built in Manufacturing plant to customer expectations and ensure highest quality of product.

This position pays $63000 - $114000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role.)

This position is open to entry level and experienced candidates. The job grade and responsibilities will be adjusted based on related job experience.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Electrical, Computer or Electronic Systems Engineering. A diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Technician would also be considered, dependent on experience.
