What we are looking for

We are looking for someone to take responsibility for all procurement and inventory related matters for current and future farms. This includes managing supplier relationships and ensuring that all inputs are in place for production needs to meet and exceed commercial schedules and commitments.

What you will be doing

Procurement:

· Support departments on general procurement needs

· Monitor supply and demand

· Plan and prioritize procurement need and support demand planning programs

· Identify and source vendors and materials

· Liaise with vendors and manage those relationships

· Engage with Finance on control procedures and budgetary constraints

· Create, monitor, and receive Purchase Orders

· Determine and issue contracts

· Develop contract terms and conditions

· Coordinate tenders

· Act as a single point of contact to suppliers and vendors

Inventory:

· Develop inventory counting system and ensure adherence

· Create re-order points and identify safety stocks

· Ensure adequate inventory is always on-hand

· Coordinate inventory requirements with various departments

· Lead and resolve inventory discrepancies

Other:

· Assist with capital procurement as the business grows and evolves

· Assist with maintenance / mechanical procurement

Must have’s

· Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Procurement or other related field

· 5+ years of previous experience in procurement and inventory management

· Strong knowledge of procurement principles, inventory/warehouse management theories and processes, contract administration, and contract law

· Flexibility to travel to other farm locations as needed to set up inventory and procurement systems

Nice to have’s

· Experience in the food industry is considered a strong asset
