Great Canadian Gaming Corporation is seeking to fill the position of Procurement Coordinator.

Under the general direction of the Strategic Sourcing Specialist, this role is responsible for the acquisition of goods and services for the Company’s properties in BC. This role will be based out of of River Rock Casino Resort location located in Richmond, BC.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Sources, negotiates and purchases goods and services; provides efficient, value-based recommendations to internal clients
  • Consults catalogues and other references to obtain prices and specifications
  • Consolidates purchases to leverage buying power
  • Places Purchase Orders (Blanket, Service and Product); tracks orders; liaises with vendors, couriers and customs brokers to maintain on-time delivery schedules
  • Sources and purchases FF&E for Planning & Development projects
  • Prepares purchasing reports on acquisitions, disposals, spoilage, non-received, back-ordered goods, etc. as directed
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, add value and/or increase supply chain efficiencies
  • Responds to, resolves or escalates purchasing issues; liaises with Accounts Payable to resolve billing issues
  • Maintains current contracts and advises on upcoming contract expirations
  • Supports the quarterly and annual supplier business review process
  • Tracks and prepares reports on contract compliance and supplier performance; monitors supplier performance and escalates issues as required
  • Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, team members and vendors
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Manages other initiatives as required

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in purchasing
  • Prior experience within hospitality and/or gaming an asset
  • High School Diploma; Post-secondary education in a relative field or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) an asset
  • Computer literacy in MS Office; Microsoft SharePoint experience an asset
  • Experience with JDE, Oracle or similar ERP required
  • Ability to exceed internal and external guest expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Able to work independently and as part of a diverse team
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
