Process Engineer

Merlin Plastics Supply Inc. is seeking an experienced Process Engineer for Manufacturing and their plastics recycling facility in Delta, B.C.
The position is permanent and full-time. Standard hours, Monday to Friday.
The location of work is as follows: Merlin Plastics 109-917 Cliveden Ave. Delta, B.C. V3M 5R6
Wage: $80,000+ CDN per year plus benefits package. dependent on credential.

Duties:

• Set up operation conditions for our process equipment for production of food and non-food grade HDPE and PP PCR

• Guide and train Production Manager, Supervisors, and operators on how each equipment eg. Washline, extruder, color sorter, reactor should work.

• Establish scheduled maintenance for all major equipment

• Set up process monitoring program to be integrated with LIMS.

• Familiar HAACP and GMP programs

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the plastics recycling industry. Operational experience in washline, extrusion, color sorting, and with volatile removal, for the recycling and production of HDPE pellets, LDPE pellets, PP pellets, and food grade PCR;

• Minimum Education requirement: Chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering bachelor’s degree.

• Previous industrial, electrical, and mechanical management experience;

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Autocad LT (D2D), and plant designs and machines and equipment;

• Familiarity with plastic materials and processing.
