Planner/Scheduler - Transit
*
Crosslinx Transit Solutions (CTS) is a consortium comprised of EllisDon, SNC-Lavalin, Aecon and ACS - Dragados. CTS has been selected by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to deliver the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit Project and is seeking highly qualified, experienced personnel to join the team of this complex P3 design and construction project.*

Planner will perform in a fast paced high energy team environment, supporting project teams in the execution of all planning and scheduling activities on a mega-project for the Eglinton LRT construction and commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the project team in establishing baseline schedules that meet the needs of, and are used by, the project team
  • Coordinate and update schedules with actual progress and forecast remaining durations, project milestones, and completion dates
  • Prepare schedule risk analysis to forecast contingencies
  • Prepare and issue schedule analysis narratives and reports including recommendations for corrective actions that are used by project teams to manage the work
  • Apply practical field experience with planning and scheduling knowledge to identify challenges to the project schedule and suggest mitigation plans and prepare recovery schedules
  • Develop, implement and train on standard and project-specific planning and scheduling procedures in accordance with the project requirements and procedures
  • Carry out what-if schedule analysis for different options or to assess impacts of certain events
  • Carry out delay analysis for claims, review and recommend on extension of time claims or requests

Qualifications

  • Proven strong leadership skills managing multi-disciplinary teams;
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication and organizational skills;
  • Results oriented individual with an ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines;
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in similar positions, lead planning and/or lead cost control;
  • Hands on experience with and proficiency with ERP and project management database systems, including Primavera P6;
  • Experience in heavy civil, preferably transportation projects within the EPC industry;
  • Experience with design build or P3 construction projects, an asset;
  • Understand EPC/full-service, program, and JV /consortium project delivery processes for large construction, LRT projects
  • Apply the principles of project controls to planning/scheduling work processes
  • Active membership in AACE, PMI, or similar association, PSP or PMI-SP certification a plus
