Package Handler

We are seeking an organized, self motivated, Package Handler to join our Sorting team in Nanaimo, B.C.! You are a natural leader; teammates look to you for support and guidance. A self-described individual with a positive attitude that possess the ability to manage high volumes of data to a great degree of detail and make sense of it in a quick pace environment. We require someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working in a graveyard shift and flexible to work on the weekends.

Reporting to the Sort Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating and supervising the sorting operations within the warehouse. Proven excellent communication skills and getting the job done in a collaborative way is the foundation to operational success of our team. Lastly, you possess the ability to move between applications and programs with ease as well as the ability to multi-task as required.

What you will be doing:

• Prepare and ensure the organization of the sorting station;
• Supervise all activities related to the sort sub-process, as assigned;
• Supervise the work of the PH Team part of your sub-process and ensure their efficiency and quality;
• Ensure the use of safe work methods and behaviors within the team;
• Data entry as needed with intermediate proficiency with MS Office tools;
• Escalate special cases/concerns to the Sort Supervisor;
• Maintain a clean and COVID friendly, safe work environment;
• Have a flexible weekly availability of at least 4 days for overnight shifts
