As a member of our Industrial group, you will provide insight and innovative construction solutions to ensure the successful execution of various industrial projects for the resource sector – oil (including refining and upgrading), oil sands, natural gas, petrochemicals, power generation, mining and forestry, potash, uranium and other resources. About The Role

Reporting to the Operations Accountant, the Operations Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing transactional support for projects related to time entry, subcontract administration, LEMS, and owner billings. The incumbent is responsible for executing tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures, and in compliance with project contractual terms and conditions, enabling agreements, and tax legislation. The role is focused on delivering and executing work with direct supervision from the line manager. The Operations Accounting Clerk is a representative of the Operations Accounting function and works directly with the Operations Project Teams, building collaborative working relationships and dedicated to meeting internal and external client requirements.


As a member of the Operations Accounting Team at Graham you will:

  • Perform high volume daily time entry and data load to SAP along with the audit functions for labour and equipment in line with owner requirements, and compliant with enabling agreements and labour standards.
  • Support hire on process ensuring alignment between Graham and client systems with complete and accurate information
  • Tracking and management of timecard submissions and authorizations
  • Subcontract administration including invoice processing
  • Assist team members with the compilation of backup to support LEMS and owner billings
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and internal controls at the project level
  • Build effective work relationships with Operations.
  • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external stakeholders and ensures positive relationships are maintained.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills with project stakeholders, and seeks guidance as required
  • Establishes honest, open, trusting relationships with team members.
  • Brings energy and perseverance to the pursuit of goals and follows through on commitments.

To be Successful at Graham, you will have the following qualifications and experience:


Education:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Post-Secondary Business/Accounting Program an asset


Experience:

  • Experience in accounting or project administration required


Job Specific Knowledge:

  • Accuracy and attention to detail is required
  • Self-motivated and thrives in a fast paced environment
  • Deadline oriented
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of accounting and job costing principles.


Industry Specific Experience:

  • Daily time entry for 200+ employees
  • Experience in the Maintenance or Construction Industry is considered an asset.


IT Skills:

  • Understanding of data flow and management
  • Aptitude for systems and technology
  • Possesses strong Excel skills.
  • Possesses working knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.
