POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Located in the heart of the Chomedey district in Laval, the Les Jardins de Renoir residence is a housing complex for seniors that offers you a superior quality environment, combining nature, elegance, comfort and security.
We are currently looking for a Daytime Auxiliary Nurse, 22.5 per week, every other weekend, talented and concerned about the health of residents.

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adhere to standards and legislation in accordance with private seniors’ home certification and the code of ethics
• Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics
• Create and maintain metuculous notes in related Dossiers in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des Infirmiers et Infirmières du Québec (OIIQ)
• Create and maintain metuculous notes in the residents Dossier in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des Infirmiers et Infirmières auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ)
• Distribute medication in pill organizers and provide some invasive care (as needed and provided you have the necessary training)
• Help maintain the relationship of trust with residents’ family and friends as well as with various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.)
• Respond to all emergency situations

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing
• PDSB training
• Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
• Member of the OIIAQ
