A well-established, successful manufacturing company in Guelph, Ontario is looking to hire a Millwright Mechanic Apprentice/Manufacturing Technician. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a great team atmosphere.

Your key responsibilities are:

• Repair and maintain machinery in accordance with local codes, diagrams, sketches, engineering drawings, manuals and manufacturer’s specifications.
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Protect self and others by performing job functions in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements for a safe working environment.
• Give and receive oral and written instructions; read technical literature and manufacturer’s specifications; write maintenance and job reports to company requirements; use computer and job maintenance software for specific applications.
• Set up and operate welding equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• One to three years experience in a mechanical maintenance setting (millwrighting preferred)
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Able to work in a team and to handle priorities under pressure
• Strong understanding and conscious of safe work practices
• Mechanical maintenance experience
• Welding experience an asset
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
