Job Description

Roofmart, a major Canadian distributor of residential, commercial Roofing and Siding products, requires a Metal Shop Operators to join our organization.

Skills And Abilities

• Operate metal shaping machines, such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines
• Read and interpret drawings
• Fabricating Light Gauge Flashings
• Must understand and comply with required health and safety regulations
• Able to assess a situation and recognize potential hazards
• Must have strong reasoning and problem solving skills
• Able to lift of up to 36kg (80lbs)
• Able to operate lift truck
• Able to work in a retail and wholesale distribution setting
• Able to work closely in small teams
• Able to work with numbers
• Able to work outside in various weather conditions
• Able to stand for extended periods of time

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience
• Fall Protection Certification
• Workings at Heights Certification
