  • Positions Available: 1.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general mechanical engineering support for Equipment Strategies, Risk Base Work Selection, and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
  • Apply mechanical engineering technology and tools to support rotating equipment class programs.
  • Mentor both entry level and less experienced Machinery engineers.
  • Develop mechanical specifications for machinery equipment (pump, generators, etc.).
  • Wear analysis to determine mission runs.
  • Preparation of high-quality scopes and engineering packages for both routine and non-routine maintenance.
  • Change packages with management of change, risk assessment / peer review, revised drawings and data sheets, etc.
  • Provide input into shutdown scope development based on previous history and known future issues.
  • Be willing to work after hours in support of running unit issues.
  • Provide On call support when needed.
  • Highlight future repairs / equipment replacements as required.
  • Support / lead investigations that relate to rotating equipment, including the development and implementation of follow up actions.
Experience/Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a Canadian University or equivalent.
  • Membership is a must in the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGA) as a Professional Engineer.
  • Minimum 5 years of Rotating machinery experience in the Oil & Gas field a must.
  • Must have pump, turbine experience.
  • Experience in design, maintenance and troubleshooting of Rotating equipment (pump, turbine, generators etc.).
  • Experience in Rotating Equipment Strategy Development in a multi discipline team for key units.
  • Experience in Root Cause Failure Analysis for Rotating equipment. Key Accountabilities.
