Overview Of The Role

Responsible for business development and supervision of the Food Service Sales Department in the Ontario marketplace through Broadline distributors; The candidate will provide coaching and support to team members to ultimately develop the team and grow the profitability of the business. The successful candidate will model the Saputo values and organizational culture of a supportive and respectful environment that will foster growth within your team.

This will be a 1yr+ contract temporary position covering a leave.

How you will make contributions that matter:

• Support Sales staff with leadership and resources that will help them achieve their goals;
• Demonstrates initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, self-motivation, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Develop and grow the Saputo Book of Business.
• Develop annual business plans and monitor and measure results;
• Budgeting and establishment of gross margin and volume targets for the specified region.
• Tracking and reporting on all aspects of sales results;
• Conduct regular coaching sessions with staff in order to provide positive feedback and motivation;
• Facilitate clear, timely communication throughout various departments to maximize service and opportunities for our customers;
• Maintain current knowledge of the local market/community.
• Initiate and evaluate opportunities for ‘continuous improvement’ throughout the geographical market area;
• Personally manage some of our larger customers on a day to day basis where required;
• Other duties as required.
  
  

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in business and/or economics. Training and education in sales is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the Food Service Market Place;
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of profitability and enhancing Gross Margin;
• Proven ability to manage Regional Key Accounts;
• Demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Ability to work under pressure and establish priorities;
• Sound communication and interpersonal skills;
• Strong organizational and analytical skills;
• Proficient computer skills;
• Dependability and proficiency in current position.
