Manager, Business Systems & Information Technology

We are looking for a Manager, Business Systems & Information Technologyto join our passionate, industry leading team.Excel wants to find a self-motivated, operations centric IT Professional, who is also a great communicator.

The Role

Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will have intimate knowledge of Sage and BuilderMT applications and possess a solutions-based mind-set. They will be driven, thrive in a learning environment, and be looking to make an impact at this point in their career. The candidate will be counted on to upgrade and improve business systems and processes and will actively support the objectives of the business.

The Responsibilities

  • Ensure availability of critical business systems.
  • Lead the upgrade of Sage and BuilderMT applications.
  • Work closely with outsourced IT service provider (WBM).
  • Identify and implement industry best practices.
  • Oversee reports and documentation related to business systems operations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures relating to Information Technology.
  • Provide technical support for end-users.
  • Provide oversight of third-party on-site resource.
  • Work closely with all other departments to ensure business systems meeting operational requirements.
  • Approve purchase of equipment and supplies to meet operational requirements of the business.
  • Oversight of asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.

Now Lets Talk About You

  • You have at least 10+ years of experience, working in the field of Information Technology.
  • You have in-depth experience with BuilderMT and Sage Timberline (Sage 300 CRE) and application upgrades.
  • You can demonstrate an above-average proficiency with Microsoft Office. Certifications in Microsoft technologies are an asset.
  • Ideally, you have manufacturing, construction, development, or home building experience.
  • You are a leader who can manage and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • You possess a strong aptitude for analyzing existing operations and making recommendations for improvement and growth.
  • You have a proven ability to solve complex problems in a highly time-sensitive environment.
  • You are able to successfully collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have a Post-Secondary Degree in the field of computer science or equivalent.
