Our expectations
Reporting to the Director, Brand Marketing, the Manager, Business Intelligence is responsible for planning marketing calendars by gathering all of Lowe’s Canada’s data.
Using strong strategic judgment, deep analytical skills, and strong intellectual curiosity, the manager will be responsible to lead a team of analysts to collect, analyze, and present relevant business data to provide actionable insights for the marketing teams and executive leadership. Data storytelling will be essential as they conduct and frame deep-dive analysis, build dashboards, give advice and set KPIs, and act as a general data evangelist within the organization.
The manager will work with multiple data sources to deliver relevant and reliable insights to improve customer experience—online and in store—and drive retail performance. They will also collaborate closely with the E-Commerce Product Management, Online Experience, Finance, Marketing, and IT teams by leading development methods and ensure the deployment of new processes or the optimization of current ones within the company.
Your role
Provide the cultural and customer trends, bring a fresh perspective on the HI trends for data-driven strategy planning, and build marketing calendars (periodic, quarterly, annual)
Market impact forecasts and measurements, as well as channel ROI performance through automated dash boarding and media mix modelling
Measure and provide analysis and recommendations for our flyer (competitor analysis, resource allocation, and strategic planning)
Collect the relevant business data to provide visibility to marketing teams and executive leadership actionable insights (financial data, web analytics, marketing performance)
Timely deliver all reporting under its responsibility as well as the quality and availability of the data
Manage web analytics, implement technical roadmaps, and prioritize digital data collection with IT
Collaborate with the Manager, Customer Insights to create data awareness within Lowe’s Canada.
Collaborate with internal and external partners for execution, optimization, and integration of marketing technologies
Collaborate with Product Owner teams to develop and analyze the testing (A/B test)
Deploy new processes and/or optimize current processes regarding the data (from collecting data to providing insights)
Provide training to Marketing/Finance/E-commerce teams on how to obtain and understand the data
Manage, support, and coach a team of 4 analysts (Digital Data) to help them on being proactive and in line with data market
Collaborate with US counterparts for best practices and alignment
Requirements
The qualifications we are looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Business Intelligence, Marketing, or in similar fields (advanced degrees will be an asset)
3 to 5 years of work experience in leading a team of analysts
Background in retail (an asset)
Strong business acumen and ability to understand business problems, develop hypothesis, test, and learn
Proficiency in data storytelling, pulling insights out of data, and visually organizing data to readily answer business problems
2 to 3 years of experience as an Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics user
Extensive knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Looker)
Expert in Excel and the Microsoft suite
Experience Defining Data Layer Requirements And Structures
Comfortable with technical documentation and independently developing innovative and untested solutions
Strong ability to develop and build efficient teams
