We are excited to recruit for a new position within our Parks division as a Maintenance Management System Operator. Reporting to the Parks Operations Control Supervisor, this position will be responsible for technical support work in maintaining and expanding application of an automated maintenance management system. The incumbent will provide guidance and assistance to users in integrating data and developing system report generation capabilities, produce and analyze various related reports and statistical data, and recommend system modifications and improvements. Developing procedural guidelines and providing training and technical advice to users will be expected.

The ideal candidate will have completed a minimum of a one-year certificate course in computer science, including or supplemented by courses in database concepts and programming, plus some related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience with Maximo software and within a Parks environment is a definite asset. A driver’s license for the province of BC (with satisfactory driving record) is required.

The City offers a competitive hourly wage from $32.87—$38.68 plus an excellent benefits package and earned day off program. Applicants under consideration will be required to undergo a police information check (with no adverse reports). The City has a vaccination policy in effect with requirements for all current and future employees.
