Job Description

We’re looking for an enthusiastic lawyer with strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills to help deliver practical, business-focused corporate and commercial legal services to a range of internal client groups.

Job Responsibilities


Your responsibilities may include:

  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and other materials, including:
    • Sales contracts
    • Data Licensing Agreements
    • RFPs
    • Vendor questionnaires
    • Web Page content and Online Terms and Conditions
  • Providing advice in a variety of related areas, including:
    • Corporate Governance
    • Privacy
    • Data and Corporate Security
    • Advertising and Marketing
    • Digital Services
    • Retail Services
    • Financial Services
    • Regulatory Matters

Job Responsibilities (continued)


Assistance with other matters, as required.


Qualifications

Education

  • Law degree from a recognized institution and membership in good standing with a provincial bar.


Experience

  • 2 years of relevant post-call experience;


Other Candidate Requirements

  • Bilingual (English/French) required

Location

This position is currently based in Ottawa, but depending on the location of the successful candidate we may consider basing it in Montreal or Toronto.
