Responsibilities
LMS/LXP User Management
- Create user assignment groups based on org structures or target audiences (eg. All First-Level-Leaders, or All Plant Employees, or Plant Employees in North America)
- Assign learning content (Courses, Learning Paths, Curricula) to User Groups.
- Troubleshoot when issues arise (eg. Manually setting completions for users)
- Manage all elements of the McCain Learning content library – organizing the library, search metadata, course descriptions, communications, driving use, etc.
- Publish internally-produced elearning content to the LMS (SCORM, publish settings, tracking settings)
- Test and Publish third party custom elearning content.
- Create learning objects for live learning sessions (like classroom sessions)
- Create “Learning paths” and/or “Curricula” that combine published content into collections that may then be assigned to user types or orgs and tracked for completion.
- Provide administration services to learning vendor content platforms (i.e. Skillsoft)
- Provide regular reports and updates related to LMS/LXP performance as required.
- Provide regular reports against learning strategy success criteria
- Receive source PPTs from SMEs and rapidly convert into trackable compliance training - add narrations, interactions, and quizzes, etc.
- Receive videos submitted by SMEs and convert into trackable compliance training – compress and convert video, embed in a courseware player wrapper.
- Create learning activities (courses) from raw SME content materials to finished learning product.
- Curate, design and build pathways and plans within Degreed
- Adhere to the ADDIE process, strong understanding of working with SMEs and other stakeholders to build learning content that incorporates input and approvals at every step.
- Test custom content provided by third party suppliers for interoperability with Degreed, SuccessFactors and the McCain network.
- Provide consultation and guidance to company stakeholders when they engage third party vendors to build custom content destined to be deployed via Degreed and/or SuccessFactors
- Evaluate content authoring tools and assess for interoperability with our platforms – create a list of approved authoring tools to be used by third party vendors or internal content authors
- Provide guidance and consultation to internal stakeholders looking to create training programs and content, or implementing third party applications
- Assess any given training proposal and recommend the most appropriate method of deployment, based on professional experience
- Gather feedback and track metrics to report on the effectiveness and impact of internally deployed learning programs
- Content authoring – digital imaging, basic graphic design, digital audio editing, digital video editing
- Visual Design – Mastery of graphic design tools – Photoshop, Illustrator, and similar. Familiar with basic visual layout principles.
- Audio editing – Basic audio narration, editing, compressing, familiarity with formats
- Video editing – Able to capture video, stitch, edit, and publish, familiarity with formats
- Instructional Design – build content that is structural sound, with learning objectives, interactions that support the objectives and quizzes that test out the learning objectives.
- Instructional Design (Project management) – Follow ADDIE to create learning content that allows stakeholder input and edits at every step of the way.
- elearning metadata standards – SCORM is primarily used, but also AICC, xAPI (TinCan)
- Hands-on familiarity with LMS and LXP platforms, learning paths, curricula, etc.
- Able to provide learning solutions for our internal stakeholders.
- Tech Savvy – strong familiarity with internet and web technologies - javascript, HTML, HTML5, and all web browsers (and their differences)
- Communicates Effectively - Strong communication and presentation skills, in all forms of digital media
- Resourcefulness – Finds a way to get things done using what resources are available
- Customer Focus – provide informed guidance and consultation to internal stakeholders
