Junior Process Technician

Nano One Materials Corporation (NNO) is a dynamic “clean tech” company with technology for the synthesis of lithium-ion battery materials. We are currently developing novel cathode materials and are scaling up to commercialize our technology.

You will be working with the Thermal Process Team that is developing calcination technologies for the cathode materials by applying materials engineering and science.

The Opportunity:

· Supporting the Process Technician with their day-to-day tasks

· Characterization of samples using XRD and ICP

· Assist in the cell fabrication

· Operating furnaces and loading materials to be fired

· Using Arbin Instruments for testing batteries

· Calibrate instruments such as gas sensors and tube furnaces

· Address problems that may arise in a creative and flexible manner

What You’ll Bring:

· An innovative mindset and an approach to problem solving based in adaptability

· No direct experience required, but experience in similar research related positions is an asset

· A post-secondary educational background in chemistry/engineering/general science is valuable
