What We Do

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join the Data Applications team, who engage with data engineers, data producers and consumers, analytics teams, machine learning teams, and other internal customers to help solve development, analytics and business problems. You will be responsible for building new applications as well as adding new features to existing internal data analytics tools. You will need to be familiar with the services and the use cases we support, as well as the data we host. Working alongside senior developers you will be learning good development practices and gaining valuable experience with a variety of technologies and processes.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, robust, applications, APIs and features
• Design, implement, test and deploy features and bug fixes to existing applications
• Communicate with customers, debugging issues or talking through features
• Collaborate with team members on all the above
  

Your Profile

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills allowing effective interactions other teams and functions
• Familiarity with, or a strong interest in, Frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, and GraphQL
• Familiarity with code development processes and tools like Github and Jenkins
  

Bonus

• Knowledge of OOP programming languages such as Python
• Familiarity with container orchestration tech like Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding Sql database languages (SparkSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with Apache Spark
• Experience with cloud environments such as GCP
