Description

We are looking for a Junior Accountant who thrives in a fast pace environment and loves diving into the financial details to join our Accounting team. This position will report to the Controller.

Key Responsibilities Of The Role

• Routinely perform monthly bank account reconciliations
• Assisting with monthly and year-end account reconciliations (Balance Sheet Accounts)
• Maintaining schedules and posting PPE and Inventory
• Posting Month End entries
• Preparing month end reporting
• Preparing and submitting government tax remittances
• Promote standardization and process improvements through automation
• Other duties as assigned
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years experience, enrolled in CPA program preferred
• Retail or Hospitality industry an asset
• Ability to communicate well both written and orally
• Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Excel
• Superior attention to detail
