Johnson & Johnson Global Services is currently recruiting for a HR Lead, Talent Acquisition. Candidates with the willingness and ability to be based in one of J&J’s Canada office locations or Corporate Headquarters in New Brunswick, NJ are required.

This position will manage programs and related talent acquisition service delivery initiatives including but not limited to University Relations, full lifecycle University Recruiting and shaping the broader diversity talent strategy for Canada.

The HR Lead, Talent Acquisition, will support delivery initiatives associated with the evolution of the strategic vision for our diversity strategy and University programs in, Canada across a full lifecycle recruiting model that will provide J&J with a competitive talent advantage. You will leverage existing industry and business acumen to establish and nurture internal and external partnerships to serve as a dedicated, strategic and trusted talent advisor to Business Leaders, Human Resources partners, Employee Resource Groups as well as a multitude of external partners through North America within your designated business segment where you will stay on top of trends and market changes, maintain relevant/current knowledge of the competitive talent landscape including market availability, talent trends, and diverse strategic recruiting events (both curated in-house and via external partnerships) within your segment. You will deliver on the end-to-end process of identifying, assessing, and acquiring high caliber talent and you will shape, connect, and lead resources to deliver on key projects and initiatives with your designated segment throughout North America. You will maintain confidentiality and operate with poise and integrity in a complex, high-profile, and rapidly changing environment. Finally, you will drive organizational dedication and accountability to deliver candidate-centric operational excellence with a strong business focus.

In This Exciting Role, You Will
  • Serve as a recruiting SME focused on the delivery, execution, and assessment of D&I recruitment initiatives that embrace new technologies to enable the acquisition of top diverse talent required to meet strategic objectives.
  • Understand and execute business priorities, workforce planning outcomes, regional current and future capability requirements as well as any specific talent challenges by translating a business strategy into actionable steps within your designated segment.
  • Partner as a talent advisor with internal partners by consistently using an open, consultative, employee and customer-focused mindset to ensure J&J’s ability to attract the necessary talent through comprehensive D&I recruitment events and Early in Career programs and strategies, in close collaboration with key partners including Business leaders, Global and Regional Talent Acquisition leaders, Recruiters and Program Management offices within your designated segment.
  • Design, enable and stabilize a Regional D&I events and programming plan for diverse talent sourcing in close partnership with the TA Solutions team and the broader COE TA global community to ensure alignment to shared talent priorities within your designated segment.
  • Be a trusted business partner who serves as a strategic talent advisor and connects internally across an array of stakeholders within aligned businesses or program areas.
  • Collaborate with local HR and business leaders to fully understand the region’s talent needs and how our early talent strategy supports those needs. Translate into university relations and recruiting strategy.
  • Conduct the initial assessment of all candidates leveraging interview guides, digital assessment tools and reports, and lead debrief sessions.
  • Efficiently and effectively evaluate a candidate’s academic and professional experience as well as technical and leadership competencies based on business-based interviews as well as determine screening and assessment criteria for the positions and recommend the best talent to hiring managers and program managers.
  • Coach managers, programs, and campus teams on appropriate assessment tools and Behavioral Based Interviewing.
  • Conduct the initial assessment of all candidates leveraging interview guides, digital assessment tools and reports, and lead debrief sessions.
  • Efficiently and effectively evaluate a candidate’s academic and professional experience as well as technical and leadership competencies based on business-based interviews as well as determine screening and assessment criteria for the positions and recommend the best talent to hiring managers and program managers.
  • Coach managers, programs, and campus teams on appropriate assessment tools and Behavioral Based Interviewing.
  • Ensure that every candidate has an optimal recruiting experience, foster a high level of candidate care & service during all stages of the talent acquisition process.
  • Ability to effectively leverage both internal J&J and external digital platforms to drive student applications. Utilize digital screening tools to assess talent pool and provide expedited and qualified talent slates.
  • Leads with data and can translate data into information that is of value to the business. Holds self and others (internal and external) accountable for process compliance.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required
  • A minimum of 5 years of HR and/or Recruiting experience is required.
  • Experience in a Diversity Recruiting, Campus Recruiting, University Relations or Career Services capacity is preferred.
  • Experience with University Relations and Recruiting within the Canada market is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success analyzing and presenting data in a compelling narrative that drives data-based impact and decisions for key business partners is required.
  • Experience utilizing metrics regularly to manage and maintain Service Performance is preferred.
  • Experience crafting solutions, with strong communication and collaborative partnership skills with internal and external partners to ensure the effective execution of business solutions within a designated business segment(s) is required.
  • The ability to provide clear direction across all employee levels quickly and on-demand to work effectively in an agile environment, handle multiple projects and daily ad-hoc operational activities is required.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively in an agile environment, utilize new technologies, handle multiple projects and daily ad-hoc operational activities.
  • Proficiency in the use of social media use (i.e., LinkedIn/job boards etc.) and software like MS Word, Outlook and Excel is required
  • Experience with Taleo or a similar applicant tracking system and with a talent relationship management system is preferred.
  • Ability to balance strategic (big picture) thinking with tactical application (detail oriented and execution focused) is required.
  • Strong Talent Sourcing, Interviewing (Behavior Based Interviewing - TSI Preferred) and Candidate Assessment skills are preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation, data analysis and project management skills are required.
  • Knowledge of HR recruitment practices including but not limited to compensation, global mobility, employment law, interviewing and sourcing strategies preferred
  • This role may require up to 10% travel
