Your opportunity

Dillon’s HR department is looking for an energetic and well rounded HR Coordinator. The successful candidate can be based fromany Dillon office across Canada.

This is a minimum 12-month contractposition.


You will have the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, dynamic, and agile HR team and support various HR and talent acquisition functions and special projects. You will also be a liaison between departments, our external vendors, and our employees. The nature of the role is dynamic and the scope of responsibilities may change from time to time to support evolving business needs. This role will report to the Manager, Human Resources.

Responsibilities:

What your day may look like


Support HR Daily Activities (50%)
  • Potentially provide support, coordination and back-up for other human resources activities (as assigned) which may include:
    • Learning and Development: support organization and facilitation of training sessions including logistics and reporting
    • Content editing: proofread / edit / format PowerPoint presentations and word / excel documents; support development of content for HR projects / programs / training sessions as assigned
    • Media monitoring : gather and report on HR related matters in the news weekly
    • Vaccination Policy: monitor and track vaccination status of the staff
    • Team events: coordinate and organize HR team events
    • Support HR projects and additional activities as assigned
  • Support internal clients and the human resources team by providing information and assistance to internal staff related to human resources programs and services
  • Business travel to other Dillon offices upon request
Sourcing & Screening (50%)
  • Completion of full-cycle recruitment and/or sourcing services for internal clients for technical and non-technical hires, including:
    • sourcing for high priority roles
    • developing and executing sourcing strategy
    • working with hiring leads to create effective job ads and candidate profiles
    • screening of resumes to shortlist candidates
    • coordination and participation in phone, video conference and in-person interviews to effectively assess and shortlist candidates
    • completion of reference checks for shortlisted candidates, if required
    • communication of hiring updates to leads/ teams on a weekly or biweekly basis
    • Tracking of sourcing activities in the ATS
Qualifications:

What you will need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or post-secondary education institution; a masters degree an asset
  • Three or more years work experience in a corporate setting; experience providing administrative support to HR and / or multiple departments an asset
Experience:
  • Strong proficiency in HR coordination and recruitment
  • Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in social media, graphic design and image editing an asset
  • Highly efficient with effective organization skills, the ability to prioritize and with a customer service focus
  • Takes initiative, uses independent judgment when required and has strong problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Comfortable working independently or as a team in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
