The opportunity

We are currently seeking a Senior Consultant - Oracle EBS to join our team. This team offers variety, challenge, responsibility, and the opportunity to realize your leadership potential. Being a member of our Advisory team means you will specialize in a particular competency - Risk, Performance Improvement, or IT Risk & Assurance. Our Performance Improvement team is focused on helping clients improve operational efficiency and security, while also reducing costs and managing risk.

We help clients by delivering assessment, transformation and process efficiency solutions in specialty areas like finance, supply chain, IT Advisory, customer, people and organization change, strategic direction, and program management. To address the shifting landscape of our clients’ needs, EY has established a national Center of Excellence focusing in the broad topics of Enterprise Intelligence, Risk Transformation, IT Risk, and Enabling Technologies. Enabling Technologies primarily focuses on the design and optimization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) packages like SAP, Oracle, and others. Our team typically works with Fortune 1000 clients across a variety of industries including, Manufacturing, Pharma, Energy/Utilities, Transportation, Telecommunications, Entertainment/Media, Oil/Gas and Consumer Goods/Retail.

Your key responsibilities

This position will support consulting by managing project teams through agreed upon phases of ERP project governance, requirements definition, technology risk analysis, customization, testing, implementation, training and rollout of a client’s project lifecycle. You will also provide business development assistance.

Client Responsibilities

• Team with client business and technology professionals, and/or third-party strategic alliances to provide implementation of technology solutions
• Demonstrate ability to implement software.
• Develop long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally
• Interact and communicate effectively with finance and technology senior and middle management executives as well as end user and business subject matter experts.
• Skills and attributes for success
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating operations with technology skills.
• Good presentation skills to facilitate workshops to collect business requirements and present solutions

To qualify for the role you must have

• A bachelor’s degree and –7+ years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and 5+ years of related work experience
• 5 -7 years of experience working with the Oracle ERP system in a software configuration implementation role,
• 3+ full lifecycle upgrades or implementations of Oracle e-Business Suite.
• Familiarity with Oracle methodologies such as OUM or AIM
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating enterprise business processes with technology skills
• Ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues
• The successful candidate must also be willing and able to travel up to 70-90% as required for client projects

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Degree in Business, or related field (MBA or MS degree preferred)
• Oracle EBS certification(s)
• Experience with Oracle Cloud implementation projects
• Oracle Cloud certification
