Compensation:$18.90 / hour to start and $22.05 / hour after 65 shifts are completed as per collective agreement.

Principal Accountabilities

• Ensuring food safety and quality
• Maintaining a safe work environment
• Trimming and cutting meat
• Supporting roles in the case ready meat process
• Assisting Machine Operator
• Picking, sorting, labeling, bagging, packing, weighing and boxing finished product
• Lifting from 20lbs. up to 60lbs
• Working with raw meat particularly but not limited to Beef, Pork and Chicken
• Ability to work in a cold environment (0-4 Celsius)
• Must be able to stand on your feet for the entire shift and complete physically repetitive labor in a fast paced environment
• Cleanliness and housekeeping
  

Required Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be currently legal to work in Canada
  

General Production is an important role to play in the daily operations of our facility. There are a variety of roles and responsibilities within this title. Responsible for daily completion of production processes within a work area, operational department, operational support area, or technical domain. The General Production are entry level roles within different departments of our operations. The types of roles available range from preparing raw product and packaging finished product. In this role you will be responsible for making sure we have quality product that is made to customer specifications and requirements.

While performing the duties of General Production, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or cold conditions with slippery surfaces; moving mechanical parts; fast paced and temperature controlled environments. Positions require standing the entire shift, the use of stairs, potential heavy lifting, and repetitive motion.

As safety is our number one priority all company safety policies and procedures must be adhered to including the use of departmental specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
