Astellas Pharma Canada is currently searching for a Finance Manager.

Description

This position is responsible for and owns the Managerial P&L forecast and budget process, P&L consolidation, metric development and analysis, and subsequent reporting of results to senior management. This position serves as a key liaison between Finance and the Commercial teams.

Essential Job Duties

Planning & Budgeting:

• Drive the development of P&L Forecasts, Annual Budgets, and Mid-Term Plans in collaboration with the Commercial teams
• Collaborate with Commercial teams & Sales teams to develop financial metrics to accurately measure brand performance
• Consolidate, review and analyze Managerial P&L’s to ensure budgets are realistic and are aligned with company leadership and strategic direction of the business
• Partner with Patient Access & Government Relations in gross-to-net calculation
• Manage 1 Financial Analyst

Business Partnering:

• Provide financial partnership and support to Marketing & Sales teams on overall P&L management, strategic plans, product launches, and other related financial matters
• Provide Monthly Financial Review and analytics to Marketing & Sales teams
• Work collaboratively with Commercial operations and to analyze, understand and explain P&L variances to internal customers and senior management
• Utilize revenue analytics and the drivers behind revenue to identify and present potential issues and opportunities

Financial Reporting:

• Coordinates monthly revenue accounting closes and ensure all liabilities are properly accrued for
• Responsible for monthly managerial reporting and analysis to senior management
• Responsible for completion of monthly account analyses and monthly gross-to-net reporting
• Ensure all financials are compliant to Astellas’ corporate policies, GAAP/IFRS, and J-SOX
• Handle internal / external auditor requests in revenue related trial balance account review

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA designation
• 7+ years finance or accounting experience
• Computer proficiency with desktop software in a Windows environment required
• Excellent skills in the following areas: organization, written and verbal communication, accuracy, and personal initiative

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharmaceutical industry experience
• BPC and SAP experience
