Effectively taking these key competences to market is critical to our success and delivering our NextWave ambition.


Your key responsibilities


This role sits within the EMEIA Consulting Markets team, which is structured into 2 pillars, namely Markets Operations and FoP Operations and is made up of 2 partners. This role is the team leader for the pillar reporting into the EMEIA Consulting Field of Play and Solutions Leader. The role is also part of the wider EMEIA Consulting Operations Team driving collaboration between Markets, SSL, Finance, Talent, Knowledge and BMC


The EMEIA FoP and Solutions Operations Lead is responsible for driving the execution of a consistent and coordinated GTM approach across EMEIA. Enabling our client-facing teams in region to bring the best of EY to our clients and be successful in the market. Driving close collaboration across the FoP and Solutions Leaders is critical as well as with Global counterparts to deliver an aligned approach.


The role will include the managing governance as well as regular reporting to leadership to demonstrate progress against priorities and impact.


The ideal candidate will be a confident professional, a natural leader with the ability to influence senior stakeholders within EMEIA and Regional leadership, as well as client-facing teams. You will be based in an EMEIA location and there may be some occasional travel (approx. 10% of your time).


Your primary responsibilities will include:


  • Develop and own the execution of the overall EMEIA Consulting FoP and Solutions GTM and operational priorities
  • Manage the day to day operational aspects of the role – reporting, performance analysis, facilitating meetings, maintaining activation plans, tracking FoP leader activity.
  • Develop market leading FoP and Solution go to market value propositions such as sustainability value proposition for EMEIA consulting.
  • Drive teaming and collaboration across EMEIA consulting and the wider business to consistently align our GTM and enable client handlers to bring the best of EY to our clients
  • Regular collaboration with the EMEIA Markets Strategy & Operations Leader and other Pillars leaders to drive effective teaming in delivery of the overall Markets priorities
  • Lead and coordinate regular insights and updates including client stories and successes to the EMEIA Consulting Leaders and into the various governance forums of EMEIA Markets including the EMEIA Consulting Executive, the Markets and Accounts Committee, the Regional Consulting Leader meetings, the EMEIA regional visits and other management forums as required
  • Oversee offshore resources
  • Work across functions, especially with BMC to activate FOPs across the regions


Skills and attributes for success


  • A consultancy mindset and a background in business development/client service and/or service line experience is essential
  • Ability to turn strategy into execution and lead and drive initiatives in a way that can be leveraged by our business leadership is critical
  • A broad understanding of the role of Markets within EY is preferred, as is experience in EY’s strategy offerings, sales tools and enablers


To qualify for the role you must have:


  • Background within EY or other Big 4 professional services environment in a business development / client service role (preferred)
  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, including cultural sensitivity, with experience in a cross-border role
  • Strong influencing and communications skills at all levels
  • Strong ability to bring new ideas and innovation to deliverables
  • Ability to understand and incorporate multiple points of views and perspectives into successful approach
  • Excellent oral, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Very strong project and change management skills, with high levels of commercial insight and acumen.
  • Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize workloads quickly, managing expectations and delivering exceptional client service.
  • Strong spoken and written English.
  • Ideally, you will also be adept at all key EY sales methodologies, tools and enablers
