Distribution Coordinator - Burlington

Position Summary

Reporting to the Traffic Supervisor, the Distribution Coordinator manages the CHEP and Fuel systems, handles invoicing, Export documentation, acts as a back-up for the departmental coordinators and provides administrative support for the department.

Key Accountabilities

• Maintain computerized CHEP online reconciliation, bookings for pick up of CHEPS and returns of broken pallets
• Tender loads through the TMS for booking carriers;
• Invoice domestic, USA and Mexican orders, while adhering to both CFIA and specific customer requirements.
• Daily deadlines on load planning, Confirming Transport and scheduling appointments
• Act as a back-up for departmental coordinators including afternoon shift
• Assist with USA and Mexico documentation for Exports;
• Responsible for maintaining Fuel costing and invoicing;
• Daily documentation preparation for Tankers (ex. Pet Food, Lard etc.)
• Serve as a liaison for drivers and customer service, on a as needed basis.
  

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Transportation/Shipping environment preferred;
• Experience with AS/400 system is an asset;
• TMS experience an asset;
• Export documentation (USA, Mexico and other countries);
• Computer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel);
• Well organized and detail oriented;
• Can work in a high paced environment.
