Job Description

As a key member of the Management Team, this position will report to the President and will be responsible for managing the Finance and Administrative functions, overseeing the Operations team and the Sales team as well as providing leadership and strategic vision for the Company. You will contribute to the achievement of strategic, financial and operational goals of the Company. You lead, influence, create, collaborate, inspire and initiate. You see the future, and deliver it. You will provide management direction to all finance/accounting/operations personnel with proven ability to motivate, mentor and develop people.

Key Accountabilities
  • Organize and manage a remote accounting (Accounts Payables / Receivables, Bank Reconciliations, Auditing, Taxation) and operations departments and oversee the customers service
  • Responsible for capital and risk management and compliance
  • Reporting to the President of the Company for day-to-day management of the fund; including its finance, accounting, operations, treasury and investor relations functionsDevelop key performance measures that align with the company’s strategic goals and work closely with the Vice-President of Sales to achieve targets.
  • Develop and implement controls over cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and intercompany transactions.
  • Develop and implement annual budgeting and monthly cash projections processes, including foreign exchange conversion strategy (swap, etc.)
  • Develop and implement monthly financial reporting, including analysis of results against prior period actual and budget.
  • Develop and Implement internal procedures in order to guarantee the safeguarding and optimal use of the assets of the company.
  • Develop and Implement operational best practices
  • Identify and provide corrective actions to potentially adverse situations; make recommendations and present information to allow accurate decision making.
  • Act as a role model to encourage team to see things differently and embrace change.
  • Coach and develop existing talent on the team to increase engagement and contribute to business success.
  • Assist and advise the President in various financial and business related matters and support the decision-making process with relevant data. Provide advice and guidance on financial strategy and expansion.
  • Develop financial and tax strategies, including passive investment strategy that may include real estate, private equity and market investments.
Skills, Education And Experience Requirements
  • CPA / Certified or Accredited Accountant
  • Accounting designation and 10 years + progressive leadership roles with proven track record to implement strategic changes efficiently in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
  • Courier/ transportation experience preferred
  • Highly adaptable and exceptionally organised
  • A strategic and innovative mindset
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work closely and communicate with both financial and nonfinancial people
  • Must exemplify characteristics of high integrity, strong work ethic, team orientation, and commitment to the success of the company. You have a dynamic personality and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of team dynamics and relationship management.
  • Focused, organized & results driven with demonstrated track record of achieving results
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Able to think logically around issues & tasks and provide solutions.
  • Able to travel locally and internationally.
