Development Counsellors International (DCI), headquartered in New York City, is looking to hire a Digital Paid Media Account Executive to join our “place marketing” agency in Denver or Canada. We’re looking for a confident, personable, detail-oriented Account Executive to join our digital team across our fast-growing paid and owned offerings, including digital advertising, search engine marketing, websites, social and content strategy and possibly SEO. We need someone who is entrepreneurial and comfortable with a fast-changing environment. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of Google Analytics as well as both B2C and B2B marketing but be ready to learn and accelerate our status quo-busting philosophy.

As a Digital Paid Media Account Executive, you will play an important role in ensuring high-performing client campaigns and projects, working with colleagues to provide deliverables on time, offer quality control and alignment with client objectives, and share ideas that expand client engagements where there is opportunity. You will report directly to the Senior Account Manager, Paid Media, but work closely with performance leads across paid media, SEO and digital marketing. We need someone who is jazzed by executing award-winning work under the pressures of the ever-changing demands of agency and client life.

As a firm that specializes in attracting visitors, businesses and a talented workforce to communities around the world, we’re looking for someone who has a passion for places and a desire to understand what motivates a tourist, business executive or employee to pick a destination. The Digital Paid Media Account Executive will have 2-3 years of experience, working in an agency environment or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as account support on paid media and other digital marketing clients; some cross-over with PR may also be expected.
  • An opportunity to lead some of the agency’s smaller accounts will be possible early on, progressing to larger accounts based on successful retention and a track record of growth.
  • Monitor client news to track happenings in each location, looking for opportunities to boost posts and incorporate into original content.
  • Assist with client media plans, monthly calls, and sending reports.
  • Become an expert on your client communities across tourism and economic development.
  • Assist in providing the agency’s collection of copywriters and designers with creative components of client campaigns.
  • Assist in tracking and submitting client ad spend and manage monthly billings/record keeping as needed.
  • Ensure client retention/expansion by delivering award-winning digital work in partnership with your teammates.

Skills:

  • Experience with overseeing programs that use paid platforms of Facebook/Instagram & Google Ads (display and search). LinkedIn experience is a bonus.
  • Knowledge/strong familiarity of basics in SEO and keyword research.
  • You must know your way around Google Analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a client account and troubleshoot challenging situations.
  • Strong writing, editing and presenting skills is a must.

Qualifications:

  • Agency experience strongly preferred; history managing multiple accounts simultaneously in a client facing role.
  • 2-3 years digital paid media experience.
  • Account management experience for B2B and B2C clients is preferred.
  • Degree in Marketing, Business or Communications.
  • In light of the CDC’s guidelines on safety and vaccinations, DCI requires all final candidates to be fully vaccinated for the COVID-19 virus as a way to strengthen protection for our staff, our agency, and our clients
