Mattamy’s new GTA Urban Division includes the company’s current collection of 40 high-rise projects and all multi-family developments within its master-planned communities in the Greater Toronto market and has aggressive growth targets for both the 416 and 905 regions of the GTA. The division will be led by a dedicated, experienced team focused on both growing Mattamy’s urban footprint and implementing innovative community design.

The role will focus on assisting with development management and associated planning applications for mixed-use residential condominium projects from acquisition to condominium registration, liaising internally between Marketing and Sales, Finance, and Construction and externally with project consulting teams and government authorities.

Responsibilities
  • Support various development approvals—including Official Plan Amendments, Zoning Bylaw Amendments, Site Plan Agreements, and Condominium Registrations—by working with multi-disciplined consultant teams and various government authorities.
  • Maintain appropriate records of architectural, landscape, and engineering plans, as well as approvals, permits and agreements for each project.
  • Assist with preparation and maintenance of project schedules, meeting minutes, budgets, cost tracking, and other financial reporting.
  • Review and consolidate comments on technical reports, drawings, and other consultant work product and coordinate submissions for applications.
  • Stay current on new industry technologies and trends and municipal standards.
  • Help build industry and market presence and awareness.

What
YouBring
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Planning, or Real Estate/Business.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in the real estate development industry and/or relevant related practical experience is desirable.
  • An understanding of planning policies, regulations, and approvals processes in Toronto and neighboring municipalities is desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook.
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, detail-oriented, and analytical with a strong desire to learn and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
