• Description:* Reporting to the Manager, Procurement, in your role you will be:
• Acting as the interface between Finance & Procurement departments as gatekeeper of Aircraft Bill of Material (BOM).
• Proposing solutions to build data analysis tools
• Using these automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources
• Removing corrupted data and fixing coding errors and related problems
• Creating, developing, and maintaining databases, data systems – reorganizing data in a readable format
• Preparing and presenting weekly BOM status review to leadership team
• Performing analysis to assess quality and meaning of data
• Filtering Data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems
• Using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction
• Assigning numerical value to essential business functions so that business performance can be assessed and compared over periods of time.
• Analyzing local, national, and global trends that impact both the organization and the industry
• Preparing reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
• Working with programmers, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.
• Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends. o Will gather weekly updates from supporting departments (technical & commercial) and update accordingly a PowerPoint presentation.
• Will provide updates to Procurement Leadership in preparation of weekly project review
• Must have:*
• Strong English communication
  
  

(English fluent written and spoken, casual French is ok, ideal to have French not necessary)

• MS Excel (VBAs, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
• 1+ years of experience as a Data Analyst (pertaining to manufacturing preferably)
• Assets:*
• Supply chain experience (terms and ideas to be learned)
• Bill of materials experience
• Power BI
• Aviation/aerospace experience
• Desired Skills:*
• Experience in (one or many of) Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or related fields
• Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data
• Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation
• Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages like Excel, SPSS, SAS to be used for data set analyzing
• Problem-solving skills
• Accuracy and attention to details
• Proven experience or knowledge of the aviation and or defense industry is also an asset.
• Strong written and oral communications skills in English
• Comfortable communicating to peers and management.
• Proven working experience in data analysis
• Team-working skills
• Ability to work flexible, extended and/or irregular working hours in line with business demands.
