Overview

The Customer Care Coordinatorposition provides direct support to our production team, supervisors/managers and acts as the company representative to customers and carriers, ensuring all customer requirements are met.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to a variety of customer requests and special instructions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Process customer requests via email (e.g. car destination changes, allocations, holds, rushes, etc.) and prepare daily reports using the company’s in house inventory/data system WITS On-line.
  • Maintain railcar data base by entering in railcar numbers, building rail loads by scanning tags into the system and creating outbound rail register and bills of lading for the railways.
  • Accurate and timely data entry of warranty and transport claims for all OEMs, into various computer systems.
  • Identify and correct data entry errors using appropriate quality control methods
  • Coordinate with Accounting Department on processed claims and ensure it matches with claims processed in customer systems.
  • Provide administrative support like printing of work orders and price labels, organizing and filing files, data entry etc.
  • Cross-train and support other Customer Care functions and customer accounts.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and take corrective action with respect to errors.
  • Make recommendations concerning new procedures and processes to increase productivity, responsiveness to customer needs, and streamline current practices.
  • Provide general data entry support across many teams on an ad-hoc basis
  • Other duties assigned
Qualifications
  • One year experience in customer service and inventory control procedures preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to interface with customers and employees.
  • Must have strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be proficient at an Intermediate Level in MS Excel and have a working knowledge of MS Windows and Word.
  • Previous accounting experience is a plus.
