Cultivation Associate

Tantalus Labs is seeking a Cultivation Associate to assist in the day-to-day tasks of the Production Team. They are responsible for carrying out effective practices as directed which actively assists in achieving the goals set out by the Cultivation Team. They ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and protocols while maintaining a primary focus on the handling and packaging of high-quality products.

This position is a labor role and requires lifting. Some tasks require working in a ’dusty’ environment from pollen and other plant material. This is a full-time role based at our Maple Ridge production facility.

The Responsibilities

Crop Maintenance:

• Filling pots
• Stripping leaves
• Transplanting Plants to another pot
• Sanitizing metal racks
• Harvesting - Cutting Plants
  

Sanitization Process:

• Sanitizing and sterilizing production equipment and machinery
• Sweeping and cleaning facility floors
  
  

Requirements

• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Required focus, patience, and diligence to perform up to Health Canada Standards
• Attitude consistent with the ability to follow specific instructions with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
• Promote a safe, efficient work environment which upholds Tantalus Labs’ safety policies
• Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform physical tasks
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs at a time
• Sensitivities or allergies to plants not recommended
• Basic understanding and comprehension of English.
  
  

Working Conditions

• Working outdoors and/or within a climate-controlled greenhouse or enclosed trimming room
• Working in an environment that has pollen and other plant materials in the air
• Physically demanding work including standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting
• Repetitive work in a production environment
  
  

Availability

Full-time, 8 hour days / Monday to Friday / 8:30AM - 5:00PM
