Salary Range: Earn up to $77,000 plus up to $27,000 benefits package. Currently offering $10,000 Recruitment and Retention Incentive.

Multiple Locations: "Work Where you Live!" - Multiple full-time positions available at Correctional Centers located in Nanaimo, Chilliwack, Kamloops, Maple Ridge, Okanagan (Oliver), Port Coquitlam, Price George, Surrey, and Victoria.

Job Requirements:

· 19 years of age or older

· Grade 12 or equivalent*

· Grade 12 English with a final grade of 70% or equivalent*

· Valid BC Driver’s license (minimum class 5), or equivalent from another province

· Legally entitled to work in Canada (you must be legally permitted to work in Canada at the time you apply for a position either through citizenship or permanent residency)

Note: Current BC Correctional Officers are exempt from providing documentation already submitted, or undergoing assessments completed, when hired into the position.

ASSESSMENT PROCESS

Applicants that meet the minimum requirements and submit the required documentation for Grade 12 graduation and Grade 12 English will be invited to complete further assessments in the hiring process as noted below.

· Security Screening Questionnaire (SSQ)

· Correctional Officer Physical Abilities Test (COPAT)

· Interview

· Reference/Past Work Performance Checks

· Valid Occupational 1st Aid (OFA 1) or a Worksafe BC approved equivalent

· Enhanced Security Screening

· Medical Assessments

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $52,803.00-$77,012.00 per year
