On behalf of our publicly owned client,in Richmond BC, we have a search underway for a Manager of Corporate Development for a 3–6-month interim assignment. This is an in office job. Our client offers an employee-centric culture with strong community connections. They are on a major growth trajectory and in this role, you can have significant influence with the M&A growth strategy.

You will be a key player in evaluating the pipeline of targeted acquisition companies to support the organization’s continued growth strategy. Your robust financial modeling skills will provide strategic analytical insight on potential acquisition targets including valuation and due diligence considerations. You will work with internal and external stakeholders, prepare and present your business case analysis. Setting high standards of best practices, you will take ownership of the long-term plan and will support adhoc scenario analysis/modeling.

To be considered for this role, you will possess the following:

  • CPA designation, ideally with Big 4 training and/or Investment Banking experience with CFA and/or MBA
  • Minimum of 7 years progressive experience in financial planning and analysis supporting key senior leadership team in strategic decision making
  • M&A experience – acquisition modeling, valuations and due diligence.
  • Experience with capital financing process is ideal
  • Exceptional organizational and critical thinking skills applicable in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proven collaborative relationship builder
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, most at ease in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
