THE ROLE
  • Utilize HRIS system (ADP) to upload and maintain data on the full employee lifecycle to include onboarding, benefits and compensation
  • Create and run various reports and ad hoc reports as requested
  • Ensure all enhancements and improvements are updated to system and troubleshoot where needed
  • Provide payroll back to ensure timeliness, accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate and manage all planning for HR related events such as Chair’s Dinner, Recognition Event, Employee Luncheon and Holiday events
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations and training in conjunction with hiring managers to ensure successful onboarding
  • Lead recruitment for Summer Students and Outdoor Trip Guides
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Team
  • Provide day-to-day administrative duties with mail, office supplies, and assists with the coordination of meeting planning, reservations, and logistics
  • Compile reports, and summaries, and ensure system compliance with data security and privacy requirements
  • Serve as point of contact to employees offering guidance on human resource policies and procedures and ensuring consistent adherence
  • Participate in all safety programs including all related meetings, committees, trainings, and ensure health and safety procedures and policies are posted and followed
  • Ensure records management for the department, including maintenance of all files and purging cycles are managed and well organized and compliant
  • Create and collect data from Employee Pulse Surveys
  • Coordinate and reconcile the expenses for participation in the Professional Development program and reconciles all other transactions on the HR credit card to the appropriate GL’s
  • Maintain up to date and accurate information related to HR on the internal and external sites to include Home@Appleby, and website

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Post-secondary education
  • Designation toward CHRP is an asset
  • Working knowledge with HRIS is an asset
  • Ability to recognize anomalies and critical situations and respond appropriately
  • Ability to apply strong functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to exercise a high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks
  • Knowledge of general employment laws, recruitment, safety training, and policy
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including those of of Labor, Occupational Health and Safety, and other governing bodies
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Attention to details and ability to prioritize and multi-task especially when reviewing written documents and following up on important dates
  • Superior service-oriented skills and ability to respond with urgency
  • Professionalism, discretion, integrity, and sound judgment in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters
