• Continuous Improvement Engineer* on contract basis in
• Oakville, ON!*
• Description:* Position Summary Report directly to the General Manager and Director of Engineering, the responsibility of Project Engineer – Continuous Improvement is to assist with the scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality. The Project Engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing continuous improvement projects and will establish inspection criteria for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project. The project engineer will be working with multiple discipline projects involving multi-disciplinary stakeholders. Successful candidates should have excellent project management and supervisory skills and ability to demonstrate strong organizational, time management, leadership and decision-making skills. Primary Duties
• Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned continuous improvement projects.
• Establishing project milestone, assigning responsibilities to suitable stakeholders, and monitoring the project team.
• Interacting with internal and external stakeholders (such out 3rd party vendors), interpreting their needs and requirements, and communicating project scopes and requirements.
• Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project’s status.
• Reviewing the project tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
• Developing technical specifications for the project’s needed equipment.
• Creating metrics to measure the project’s success, collecting data and preparing reports.
• Ensure a safe workplace, including compliance with established safety laws, regulations, codes, policies, and procedures.
• Skills:* Continuous improvement, six sigma, process improvement, project management, pmp, time studies
• Additional Skills & Qualifications:* 3-5 years experience with Continues improvement experience

Experience running continues improvement projects and executing time studies

– experience continues improvement (time studies, managing projects, executing project)

Knowledge of arc welding and welding processes
