In just four years, we’ve acquired and turned around brands including: Sur La Table, Z Gallerie, Direct Buy, One Kings Lane and Touch of Modern saving thousands of jobs.The Manager, Communications will lead our internal communications function for our rapidly growing family of brands located in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. This is both a strategic and hands-on role that is critical in executing our initiatives.This role will report to the General Counsel & VP, HR.Our ideal candidate will be based in the Toronto area working hybrid out of our downtown office on 100 University Ave.Key Responsibilities/Outcomes (include but are not limited to): Manage strategy, content, and execution of employee communications regarding all major people initiatives and programs, including but not limited to: benefits/open enrollment, performance management, change management, and engagement Partner with leadership to drive change management efforts within their teams and across companies/brands Manage executive communications internally, building a platform to improve the frequency and quality of communications from our most senior leaders Partner with leadership to build communications plans and develop materials for internal and external corporate announcements (e.g., M&A, financial investments, strategic partnerships, global expansions) Develop strategy and infrastructure for expanding and scaling international communications and localization efforts for employees in different locations Drive comprehensive communications campaigns differentiated by audience across companies/brands Gather employee feedback and leverage data to drive continuous improvement of our communications efforts Work closely with the company’s most senior leaders to remain current on our strategy, growth drivers, audience priorities, and industry trends Build relationships with a diverse set of team members to increase visibility and improve the quality of communications throughout the organizationQualifications/Requirements: 5-7 years experience in communications (marketing, journalism, corporate, executive, or internal), including meaningful time in an internal communications and change management role Creative, strategic thinker and storyteller with strong writing and editing skills who can communicate what we need employees to know, feel, and do Experience translating complex ideas into simple, authentic, and compelling communications and fluidly navigating between strategy and execution Proven ability to create, own and execute comprehensive communication plans with experience leading employees through times of change An experienced, strategic partner who can work closely with everyone from leaders and executives to front-line employees Growth mindset with excitement for experimentation, iteration, and improvement Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to successfully prioritize and juggle multiple projects at onceWhat’s in it for you?Career growth opportunitiesCompetitive compensationMedical/Dental/Vision benefits through Greenshield- Health Benefits 100% employer paid!Company Provided Life Insurance equal to one year salaryRRSP matching3 weeks’ vacationBirthday off with pay!Paid holidaysCSC Generation is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence.
