Today, OSI Maritime Systems is a leading provider of integrated navigation and tactical solutions designed for naval and maritime security operations. Among those solutions, the company develops and delivers integrated bridge systems for warships, integrated dived navigation systems for submarines, and C2 systems for small craft. Presently, 23 navies totaling more than 600 warships and submarines operate using OSI systems.

Due to the nature of our company, all employees must pass specific security criteria. Only candidates who are Canadian citizens, have PR status or have a citizenship from a NATO country, and who satisfy security clearance criteria, will be considered.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sets up and configures new work stations
• Resolves remote access connection difficulties
• Supports users in troubleshooting standard software applications
• Supports internal telephone and video conferencing needs
• Troubleshoots general printer, work station, network and phone issues
• Provides general work station maintenance and support for users
• Provides basic management of office network infrastructure (cabling, patching, moves etc.)
• Provides other systems, software and hardware support and completes additional support as needed
• Assist with corporate cyber security initiatives, by reviewing system log files and escalating as required
• Assist on company ERP (Epicor) for information dissemination for staff, such as lunch and learns and training
• Ensure corporate ERP documentation is current, valid and updated

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

• Education: 2 year College Diploma or Business School diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 0-1 years working experience in an IT Systems and Network support role; Strong understanding of Windows 10; Understanding of LAN/WAN based networking an asset; Understanding of industry standard business software applications (Epicor, Solidworks), Outlook configuration, anti-virus and malware an asset; Understanding of network printing and functions of all-in-one printers an asset; Understanding of industry best practices regarding information security an asset; Knowledge of hardware and software configuration and support an asset
• Skills: Strong problem solving/analytical/critical thinking skills; Self-starter with excellent organizational, administrative and interpersonal skills; Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment; Ability to work independently, with team and with clients in a professional manner; Ability to follow through with tasks, projects and troubleshooting, Excellent oral and written, interpersonal and communication skills
