Cloud Delivery Lead Engineer, ITS Global

• Act as the lead engineer in Cloud Delivery aspects
• Being the gatekeeper for transition of new released products and capabilities from Product teams to be used by the delivery team
• Supporting continuous improvement in delivery of products and capabilities via providing feedback to Platform Product Management teams, working together for possible efficiency and speed improvements
• Working together with Automation Product Management team in automating manual tasks for developing and deploying code and data to implement continuous deployment and continuous integration frameworks
• Reviewing product backlog items of the Automation Product Management team as part of the sprint process to make sure delivery related requirements are complete and accurate
• Researching, developing, and implementing new tools and processes to improve and automate Delivery Support
• Setting delivery standards, processes and policies to ensure executional excellence on cloud delivery
• Standardizing tools, methods and systems to enable efficiency, best-practice sharing and effectiveness in cloud delivery portfolios and projects
• Working closely with virtual teams, KPMG DevOps teams, Operations teams to ensure approved delivery standards, tools, processes and policies are used by each team. Monitoring mis-usage or exceptions and working closely with other teams to ensure standards are followed.
• Working with monitoring tools; manage access and permissions; script and automate where possible
• Staying abreast of industry trends and best practices, conduct research, tests, and execute new techniques which could be reused and applied to the DevOps projects

Working actively on One Platform customer projects, investments and maturity programs;

• Participating as the Lead Engineer in project requirements gathering workshops with intake, advisory and product teams when needed
• Planning and leading the execution of large-scale migrations of systems from private infrastructure to public cloud platforms
• Building scalable enterprise solutions using Azure offerings
• Designing Azure foundational elements like VM’s, VNET, Blob storage, instances, functions, networking etc.
• Commissioning PaaS services like Azure App Service, SQL Database, Application gateway, Azure Identity Management, IOT etc.
• Providing technical administrative and configuration support for Microsoft Azure platform
• Ensuring the build of secure environments running in Azure using KPMG security and compliancy standards and making sure engineer team follows the standards
• Providing recommendations on system improvements, update to on latest technologies
• Working closely with project managers to ensure visibility of the project status to management team
• Ensuring controlled transition of new deployed products and solutions to operations

Support One Platform Delivery Manager for ensuring timely readiness of flexible workforce capacity to support all One Platform customers with their portfolios and demands;

• Working with project managers making sure correct people are assigned to correct tasks
• Tracking flexible engineering resource capacity and skills
• Working with vendors to upscale and/or downscale capacities on a timely and efficient manner
• Working with vendors for continuous training and certification of resources

• Excellent understanding on distributed applications in an enterprise environment
• Hands-on and extensive experience with cloud environments like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud platform
• Excellent knowledge and extensive experience of automation for Azure solution architecture, best practices, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services
• Excellent knowledge and extensive experience in Cloud infrastructure/services and delivery models, storage concepts, networking basics, etc.
• Excellent knowledge and extensive experience of commonly used Azure IaaS products (ARM, Storage accounts, virtual machines, security and encryption, BC/DR, monitoring)
• Excellent knowledge and extensive experience with Reverse and forward proxies
• Excellent knowledge and extensive experience of commonly used Azure PaaS Services (SQL PaaS, Azure Functions, Web Jobs, Bots, Redis, Service Bus, Cosmos etc.)
• Excellent knowledge and extensive experience with Azure PaaS Configuration, Cost Calculation and Administration of Azure Resources
• Excellent knowledge and extensive experience in PowerShell Scripting, ARM Templates, Azure AD, App Service Plans, Azure Service Environments (Isolated Plans)
• Excellent knowledge and extensive experience with Azure SDK / API
• Excellent knowledge and extensive experience with Azure Key Vault and Azure Storage
• Excellent knowledge and extensive experience with Application Code Deployment and Configuration on Azure Environment
• Documented understanding on Infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as code and different industry standard tools
• Analytical and problem solving skills with Code Debugging experience in Azure PaaS Hosted Environment
• Experienced with changes necessary to maintain performance levels of applications when transitioning from on-premise environments to public clouds
• Experienced with multiple programming languages such as PowerShell, SP.NET, Python, Shell scripting, Terraform, JSON, XML or similar scripting language
• Experienced with Cloud Automation concept and best practices, automation tools and cloud development
• Proven knowledge of Agile / Scrum / DevOps approach to realize business value for the customer
• Strong Hands-on experience working on CICD pipeline on Cloud management platforms
• Knowledge and experience with Cloud native Solution Designing, Cloud development patterns and recommended practices
• Documented understanding of ITIL processes, SOW’s, Affidavits, Agreements, SLA’s and KPI’s, cost of service and Risk and security
• Knowledge in IT service management and corresponding ITSM procedures and policies
• Knowledge and experience of reporting tools (Power BI, Excel)
• Excellent presentation, documentation and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field of study: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, etc., or equivalent experience.
• The following certifications are a plus: AZ-300/AZ 303 Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies, AZ-301/AZ 304 Microsoft Azure Architect Design, AZ 400 Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions
• DevOps experience is required
• Agile/Scrum certification is a plus
• 5+ years of experience in IT services
• 3+ years of experience in Cloud Technologies (preferably on Microsoft Azure)
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps
• Ability to lead people/teams in multiple projects by building rapport and relationships, particularly leading and working with virtual teams that are geographically dispersed
