We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Central Services & Facilities Coordinator. This position will be based in Labrador West, NL. This position will require candidates to work a 5/2 rotation Monday – Friday (8 hour days)


Job Responsibilities:


  • Develop efficient management strategies for all areas of responsibility in the central services & facilities scope to minimize the overall cost.
  • Coordinate all maintenance work to properly maintain Tacora Resources Scully Mines’ support equipment, facilities, and grounds.
  • Ensure that all operational issues and concerns are communicated on time to the Central Services & Facilities Manager and all appropriate management groups and individuals.
  • Providing relief for Central Services & Facilities Manager as required.
  • Provide support to all departments by coordinating auxiliary rentals, vac/steam/water truck services, and other services.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environment (HSE) regulations by facilitating regular inspections and maintenance tasks relating to central services & facilities.
  • Establish and maintain extensive partnerships with outside vendors and all departments on site, develop a positive working environment with the team, and ensures the team members are empowered, encouraged, and recognized for their contributions and performance.
  • Maintain key maintenance contracts including but not limited to light vehicle maintenance, cranes, elevators, plumbing & heating, carpentry, waste management, vac/steam/water truck services, snow clearing, and janitorial.
  • Perform contractor management to ensure all workers are trained, competent, and compliant with all Tacora HSE policies and training requirements.
  • Supervise maintenance crews; issue work permits, conduct JHA’s, review standard operationg procedures, and provide support in mitigating safety risks.
  • Maintain maintenance records, financial records, and registrations of all equipment and infrastructure within the central services & facilities scope.
  • Contribute to the management and preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage inventories of parts, cleaning supplies, and materials.
  • Purchasing any equipment, tools, or materials that may be required.
  • Uphold Tacora values and promote 5S in all areas of ownership.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Must have Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and highly interactive team environment
  • Experience with maintenance coordination, planning, and supervising maintenance tasks
  • Knowledge of provincial and federal legislation and regulations relating to facility and equipment maintenance would be ideal
  • Possess efficient organizational skills and the ability to maintain maintenance, financial and registration records
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems (Ellipse) would be beneficial to the role
  • Must have the ability to function effectively under pressure
  • Availability and flexibility in scheduling for vacation relief and unforeseen circumstances


Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Business Administration or equivalent experience

License:

  • Driver’s License (Required)
