The Capital Business Development Manager role, is a great opportunity to join the new DePuy Synthes team and will play a crucial role in commercializing our digital surgery portfolio. This newly crafted role is intended to drive acceleration in the Enabling Technology business by building the national strategy, including designing a capability-building program that upgrades the competitiveness of the national sales organization. This individual will be responsible for the implementation, communication and management of commercial programs, driving the go-to-market strategy.

As a person who combines technical knowledge and excellent presentation skills, you will engage strategic customer accounts and connect all partners involved in the capital procurement process to communicate the value proposition of our systems and ensure excellent support during initial stages of product implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Presenting and demonstrating value proposition of our surgical platform within the Canadian healthcare market by fostering key relationships at both the clinical and C-suite levels
  • Lead and execute the capital strategy, get necessary approvals and work with multiple stakeholders required to close large capital deals
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Legal, HCC, Finance and Contract Execution) to develop and execute commercial programs to support our go to market strategy
  • Design “capability building” capital selling accreditation program
  • Identifying deep customer insights to recalibrate and improve plans
  • Identify critical milestones and communicate progress to senior management

Qualifications
  • A University degree is required, preferably in Business or Marketing; MBA preferred
  • 8 years of relevant business experience 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience selling and/or marketing capital equipment with record of success as demonstrated by sales target achievement
  • Extensive knowledge of capital sales cycle and ability to navigate hospital procurement to gain the proper funding to close large capital deals
  • Experience leading, coaching, and influencing activity to drive sales within a matrix organization of large sales team
  • Experience leading through a period of significant organizational change 
  • Experience working with sales, marketing, operations, c-suite, procurement, and operation room partners 
  • Job will require significant travel within Canada to support implementation of novel capabilities
