WorleyCord is growing and we have an immediate opening for an Business Software Developerat ourEdmonton, ABHead Office or Calgary, AB office Location.

Work Conditions

• Edmonton or Calgary Office Based.
• 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Applicants from outside of Edmonton or Calgary will be considered but would have to relocate to Edmonton or Calgary at their own expense.
  

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of Software Development Life cycle and web development (Develop, maintenance, implementation, support)
• Support existing in house developed software and integrations with global tools.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of SQL Servers and application databases
• Participate in the scope and design of solutions for business applications.
• Be constantly aware of website performance, metrics, and audience
• Keep up to date on current application development best practices and web standards
  

Desirable Skills

• Experience with the following web technologies: JavaScript, jQuery, ASP.net, HTML5, CSS3
• Experience with Visual Studio and team development
• Experience with C# Development
• Experience with Mobile App development (Android or iOS)
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Development and support (Database Design and T-SQL)
• Experience working in an Agile Software Development environment
• Familiarity with third-party API integration and communication
• Experience with Unit and System Integration Testing
• Experience geared toward Business-style view of development
• Experience with BI and analytic tools such as PowerBI is an Asset
• Experience with Azure Server environment is an Asset
• Experience Building Applications for the Construction and Oil and Gas industry is an Asset
• Experience with API integration with Oracle Document Controls Systems and Scheduling System is an Asset
  

Qualifications And Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years industry experience developing web applications, specifically C# and JavaScript is required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience developing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server Databases is required.
• Diploma or degree in Website Application Development, Computer Programming, or another related field
• Must have a keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently, in an environment with a certain measure of ambiguity, bring quick resolution to problems and propose innovative solutions
• Ability to keep task oriented and work within deadlines
• Ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively
