Business Process Re-engineering Consultant

Summary

Elections Canada is a seeking a Business Process Re-Engineering Consultant to streamline and modernize assembly and dismantling operations at its warehouse location. The Consultant will recommend process changes with a view to improve operational performance aligned with new technologies and provide a larger vision that could come to light if the distribution center would relocate to a larger facility that could accommodate automation solutions requiring a larger footprint.

Responsibilities

• Review, document and analyze existing business processes related to both “As Is” and “To Be” states
• Provide advice/recommendations in the sound and practical prioritization/assignment/deployment of technological solutions to gradually replace existing manual processes (i.e., a multi-year plan to overhaul and automate operations at the DC)
• Recommend the design and deployment of a short-term strategy to relieve immediate pressures on assembly processes
• Develop of feasible responsible plan to acquire and facilitate the installation of automated solutions. The plan shall include the acquisition, installation, and maintenance costs for said automated solutions.
• Assist with the deployment/implementation of technological solutions recommended
• Design and deploy a change readiness assessment to plan and carry out the long-term change management strategy
• Develop a performance/evaluation framework to monitor change management strategies and effectiveness of new automated processes.

Mandatories

• Hold a valid Enhanced Reliability Clearance
• Hold a valid Covid 19 Vaccination Certificate to be able to work onsite
• Hold a valid bachelor’s degree from an engineering program accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) in Automation and/or Industrial and/or Manufacturing
• Hold a valid professional designation or certification in: P.Eng. of Ontario License
• Previous experience developing, recommending, and implementing automation solutions in a warehouse and/or Distribution Centre environment
