About the Role:

Reporting to the Director of IT, the individual will be working within the IT department supporting all company users for both equipment and software issues, as well as first line support for customers relating to customer applications and services ensuring Wurth Canada infrastructure runs properly on a daily basis.

A strong knowledge in PC and peripheral setup, configuration and maintenance from a support standpoint is required.

Job Duties:

· Fielding calls from internal and external staff for support issues.

· Installation and replacement of user equipment and peripherals such as laptops, tablets, cell phones, workstations, printers, faxes, iOS devices and Motorola RF scanners, including tracking of all equipment.

· Ensuring that if any equipment is defective or requires further maintenance that the proper service calls are initiated in order to keep our operations functioning properly.

· Supporting our sales force and customers with respect to applications and equipment such as WurthNet, SISX, Speedy Touch, eShop, TPMS.

· Helping to support the warehouse operations equipment from an IT standpoint.

· Possible travel to other locations including other Wurth sites or Customer sites when required to assist in setting up systems or processes.

· Ready to take on new support challenges.

· Support initiatives with our MS Dynamics AX systems and CRM as well as MS Teams and SharePoint.

· This role supports nationwide business operations, with 8 hour workdays scheduled Monday – Friday between the hours of 6:30 am – 6:30 pm.

Our Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

· Post-secondary degree or technical diploma in computer systems, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience required.

· At least 5 years of hands on, similar IT support experience in a desktop support environment.

· Bilingual (French-English).

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

· General desktop analyst skills and fundamental knowledge of the desktop operating systems and hardware.

· Strong technical understanding of the following technologies: Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365 suite, mobile devices, browsers, local account management, basic network operations, scripting, installs and removals, registry, command line, service desk ticket system functionality, and system management tools. Outlook, and basic Active Directory, server and networking.

· Strong Interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, organized, and customer focused

· Ability to explain technical concepts and theories to non-technical audiences.

· High degree of resourcefulness, problem solving, flexibility, and adaptability.

· Must be able to work against deadlines and outside regular office hours when the need arises
