Bilingual Trainer - Disability Management
Absence Management Solutions

Defined Term

This position reports to the Vice President, Operations, Program Management, Service, Quality & Training. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing, maintaining, planning and delivery of Absence Management training initiatives, with a focus on new hire orientations and ongoing continuous learning programs including needs assessment, trainee evaluation, call monitoring and curriculum development.
  • Mentoring and development of new case managers from CM1 to CM2 standing
  • System training, including but not limited to, Abiliti, Genie, Help Desk
  • Providing consultation with respect to process development and implementation as appropriate.
  • Involvement in developmental projects within the AMS department and cross department involvement as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years health management experience with a focus on disability management and / or Risk management. Subject Matter Expertise required in disability management (CDMP certified); subject matter expertise in WCB not mandatory but an asset. Previous experience in classroom management / conducting training and curriculum development an asset.
  • Ideal candidate holds a degree in Kinesiology, Psychology or equivalent health science or mental health field
  • Bilingualism in English and French is a mandatory
  • Superior communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to deliver training in different modalities
  • Extensive attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent MS office skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and disability management a requirement
  • Knowledge of Abiliti, Genie an asset
  • Adult education certification and / or experience is an asset
