THE ROLE


The Arena Operator/Outdoor Facility Maintainer monitors the daily operation of the facility and sports fields’ maintenance as required, and monitors daily operation and maintains the ice rink. They maintain grounds and playing area of indoor/outdoor facilities. They operate indoor/outdoor equipment as required and perform checks and minor maintenance on equipment. The Arena Operator/Outdoor Facility Maintainer assists with employee training and provides in-service to staff on proper use of equipment, assists with scheduling and assigns daily tasks as required.


QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED


Education, Certifications and Licenses

High school diploma AND several years of experience in a related field
Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification
Valid Driver’s Licence (ON)
Recreation Facilities Association Certified Ice Technician (ON)

Experience

In operating and maintaining ice rink and outdoor sports facilities equipment

In resource administration

English Essential, Bilingual an asset
