Together, we’re pioneering the future of science and medicine, developing products that enable researchers in the fight to save lives.An Application Scientist is responsible for ensuring that customer needs are met in Mass Spec R&D product development. This position will be responsible for:

• Understanding and analyzing mass spectrometry-based workflows across a broad range of application areas as part of new product development.
• Supporting the development of new LCMS hardware and software products by actively engaging and educating cross-functional project teams on features and workflow usage and helping define product requirements and specifications.
• Evaluating/improving/maturing technologies and new mass spectrometry-based systems to ensure that the target customer needs are being met.
• Aid in the support of new mass spectrometry-based hardware and software products once they have been launched including training SCIEX staff and generating data to support launch. Assist in response to field escalations, as necessary.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Advanced degree in appropriate scientific field.
• 5+ years hands on experience working with LC/MS.
• Experience in an R&D/applications/product development environment would be an asset.
