This role sits within LBC Tech, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank Financial Group.

The Analyst, UAT will be responsible for the planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing cycles for multiple initiatives across various product lines. To be successful in this role, the incumbent must have experience working in the financial services industry, have excellent knowledge of UAT methodology and industry best practices, and possess the ability to plan and execute test cycles with accuracy and a high level of attention to detail

Responsibilities

The incumbent will participate as a core team member throughout a project’s lifecycle with the key responsibilities in each phase outlined below:

Project Planning and Requirements

ºActively participate in business requirements elicitation sessions facilitated by the Business Analyst, and complete proof of concept or current state validation in a test environment where required.

ºReview and provide feedback on the business requirements to ensure that they can be validated, and identify gaps or other issues which may present a risk to the test cycle.

ºSupport the planning and coordination of pipeline maintenance, small scale change, and production incident testing.

ºWill be assigned to lead UAT activities for projects with low to medium complexity and contribute to larger and more complex initiatives with support from an intermediate tester.

UAT Planning

ºCreate a professional UAT Plan containing all relevant information relating to the cycle, present the completed document to the project team to obtain necessary buy-in, and obtain stakeholder approval.

ºCreate UAT Test cases according to established protocol and with full traceability back to the business requirements and functional specifications documents to ensure appropriate and comprehensive test coverage. Accurately assign risk priority to each test case using established guidelines.

ºIdentify, secure, train (if applicable) and supervise business and UAT testing resources to ensure adequate coverage and timeline management during the test cycle.

UAT Execution

ºAccurately and efficiently execute test cases according to priority.

ºRecord and retain results as per established protocol and ensure that testers are doing the same at all times.

ºEffectively monitor progress of testers, coordinate efforts and scheduling, and provide ongoing feedback throughout the cycle.

Implementation and Closeout

ºAssist the Business Analyst and Project Manager in the implementation planning process to ensure adequate business validation is performed by the impacted operational areas.

ºProvide implementation support on-site to impacted business units when required. Follow established issue management and reporting protocol at all times.

ºProvide feedback during project close-out on lessons learned and suggest opportunities for improvement for future initiatives.

Issue Management

ºSchedule, prepare for, and facilitate UAT status and issue review meetings. This includes the creation and management of the issue log.

ºProvide accurate, professional and timely status updates to project stakeholders.

ºEscalate potential risks as they are identified, and provide accurate recommendations for risk mitigation or recovery options.

Qualifications

ºCollege degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or;

ºUniversity degree in a related field and 0 to 2 of relevant User Acceptance Testing experience within the financial services sector, specifically in banking or dealer services.

ºExperience with automated test script development and execution is an asset.

ºKnowledge of banking and investment products including mortgages, loans, deposit services and investment funds.

ºExperience working with a core banking system, lending origination system or dealer account management system.

ºStrong listening, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required for the role.

ºStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.

ºKnowledge of and demonstrated ability in core competencies including teamwork, adaptability, planning, presentation, problem solving, judgment and decision making.

ºBilingualism (English and French) is required.

ºAbility to work both remotely and in office as required.
