FedEx Express Canada is seeking an Accountantto assist in the recording, maintenance and review of the company’s financial data through direct responsibility for specified accounts.

This is a full-time position is located in Mississauga, ON (hybrid home/office).

Responsibilities

• Ensures that general ledger accounts are materially correct and explains significant variances between accounting periods ; suggests improved procedures for better accounting control.
• Prepares journal entries to update various general ledger accounts.
• Conducts monthly variance analysis for profit and loss accounts, budget versus actual and actual versus trend and provides rationale to management and conducts cost analysis at station level.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Accounting
• CPA designation or actively working towards
• Two (2) years professional accounting experience.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Microsoft Office Suite - Advanced
